First off, a HUUUGGEEE "THANKS!" to everyone, listeners and non listeners, we talked to, hung out with, met with, played games with, that took even a second of their time to say "Hey!" All of you made our first BGGCon an astounding good time.
We met, talked, and gamed with a lot of friends, new and old, and without all these amazing people in our board game community, we wouldn't have had the long, fun days that we did. Thank You!
This week's episode is just a very quick recap of our shenanigans, games we played, and people we met and talked with at BGGCon. We recorded in between Wash's busy work schedule and the holiday to get it out for you guys today.
WWE Superstar Showdown, T.I.M.E. Stories, House of Borgia, Stronghold Second Edition, Porta Nigra Tiny Epic Western, Fury of Dracula, Ghostbusters, Resistor_, Noir, Trickster, Trambahn, Loop Inc., The Networks, Trickerion, Rhino Hero(This is the link to the regular version of Rhino Hero, not sure what the imported large version of the game is called.)
This week, High Heavens designer and publisher, Ryan Lesser joins us in our virtual studio! Not only is he now a board game designer, but Ryan's full time job is Art Director at the video game company Harmonix. So, needless to say, we were extra excited when we not only got to talk board games with him, but also some of my favorite video games, Freguency, Amplitude, Guitar Hero, and Beatles Rock Band!!!
With busy schedules this week, Wash and I at BGGCon as we speak, and Ryan Lesser spending his weekends shipping High Heavens to his Kickstarter backers, this episode is a little shorter than normal.
Wash didn't get many games played this last week, but I was fortunate enough to play enough for the both of us. This week also features our Kickstarter round up, Kick The Box.
For our final segment we geek out over Fantasy Flight's announcement of their new Star Wars board game, Star Wars: Rebellion. Our hypothesis about how the game plays based on our experiences with the 1998 PC game of the same name.
